We go under the bonnet of a real news day. Using a real time example, a news story unfolds with pupils needing to make quick decisions and justify their answers to each other. This leads to debate about news values and logistics. I touch upon legal and ethical issues (eg: court reporting), and pupils see how the day in question resolves itself. An extended version tests the more advanced pupils by presenting them with raw interviews that need to be edited to tell a story in a balanced way, on a tight deadline.Back to what are you planning
